This highly specialized clinical Social Worker III position provides advanced clinical and professional leadership in Mental Health and Addictions to a community-based multi-disciplinary team. Clinicians are expected to work with clients with complex needs and diverse populations of all ages including children, adolescents, adults and seniors. I provide clinical supervision of staff as a clinical leader within the Mental Health and Addictions program across two offices and consult with other professionals, communities and community groups while providing innovative service delivery. I participate in the design and implementation of research, evaluation and quality improvement initiatives related to services provided in the program. I also provide leadership in regional program initiatives as required such as wait-list management and clinical consultation for staff.

Within an aboriginal community this position is responsible for providing professional social work services to clients of the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services, covering a spectrum of services and programs including Protective Intervention Services, Adoption Services, Youth Services and Community Youth Corrections.
I have conducted risk and safety assessments; provide counseling and case management for children, youth and families to address family dynamics and complex psychosocial factors.
